Vegetable oil is available both in crude and refined forms. Refined oils are generally bleached and deodorized.

High Oleic (mono-unsaturated) Sunflower Oil
High Oleic (mono-unsaturated) sunflower oil is coveted for its superior frying qualities. The high oleic content in the sunflower seed has high smoking points and its slower oxidization rate is reported to increase shelf life of snack foods. The oil contained in the sunflower seed also has valued health benefits and is much lower in saturated fat than other crops grown for commercial cooking purposes. Available in crude and refined forms for both domestic and international use.

Linoleic (poly-unsaturated) Sunflower Oil
Linoleic (poly-unsaturated) sunflower oil is extensively used through out the food service industry in salad dressings, bottled oil and margarine production. Linoleic sunflower also has important health benefits and is reported to have possible cholesterol reducing qualities. The linoleic acid is an omega-6 polyunsaturate and the linoleic sunflower is second only to its safflower counter part in this essential fatty acid. Available in crude and refined forms for both domestic and international use.

Adams Australia - Safflower Seeds and Oil Safflower Oil
There are two types of organic safflower oil:
  • Oleic (mono-unsaturated) – 75%-80% Oleic
  • Linoleic (poly-unsaturated) – 75% Linoleic
The high oleic (monounsaturated) acid content in this variety of safflower oil makes it ideal for cooking as a result of its stability at elevated temperatures and high smoke point. High oleic safflower oil is also desired for its health benefits being low in saturated fats.
Other users of oleic safflower oil include the cosmetics industry.

The linoleic (poly-unsaturated) safflower variety has the highest linoleic acid content of any of the commonly used vegetable oils. The linoleic acid component of this oil totals over 75% and is commonly used in edible oil products such as salad oils and margarine. Linoleic safflower is high in omega 6’s (an essential fatty acid) and is reported to have properties beneficial to the body’s cardiovascular system.

Both types of Safflower oil are available in crude and refined forms for both domestic and international use.

Canola Oil
Canola oil is valued for its superior health traits and cooking qualities. Canola oil is high in Omega 3’s, low in saturated fat and has a high oleic content which makes it stable at high temperatures and is used for both small scale cooking and industrial frying. Its omega 3 (Alpha Linolenic acid) qualities also make canola oil popular for use in the production of margarine.
Canola oil is also used for the production of bio-diesels and is available is both crude and refined forms.
