Organic vegetable oil is produced, stored, transported and sold strictly adhering to organic regulatory guide lines. As a reputable supplier of organic products Adams is subject to ‘organic audits’ by regulatory authorities such as NASSA. The integrity of organic oils is paramount to our operations.

Organic Vegetable oils are destined for both the domestic and export market. However, recent drought in Australia has resulted in a decline of local organic production and Adams Australia has turned to import channels to service domestic demand.

Organic Sunflower Oil
There are two types of organic sunflower oil:
  • High Oleic (mono-unsaturated); and
  • Linoleic (poly-unsaturated).
Organic high oleic (mono-unsaturated) sunflower oil is a popular vegetable oil due to its superior health qualities and stability at high temperatures. High oleic sunflower oil is low in saturated fats and high in Omega-9 monounsaturates, combined with a high smoke point it is an ideal cooking oil.
Organic Linoleic (poly-unsaturated) sunflower oil is extensively used through out the food service industry in salad dressings and for margarine production. Linoleic sunflower also has important health benefits and is reported to have possible cholesterol reducing qualities.

Organic Safflower Oil
There are two types of organic safflower oil:
  • Oleic (mono-unsaturated); and
  • Linoleic (poly-unsaturated).
The high oleic (monounsaturated) acid content in this variety of safflower oil makes it ideal for cooking due to its high smoke point and stability at elevated temperatures. High oleic safflower oil is also desired for its health benefits being low in saturated fats.
Organic oleic safflower oil is also extensively used throughout the cosmetics and remedial industries.

The linoleic (poly-unsaturated) safflower variety has the highest linoleic acid content of any of the commonly used vegetable oils. The linoleic acid component totals over 75% and is commonly used in edible oil products such as salad oils and margarine. Linoleic safflower is high in omega 6’s (an essential fatty acid) and is reported to have cholesterol reducing and cardiovascular benefiting properties.

Organic Canola Oil
The success of organic canola oil in Australia is attributable to the worldwide popularity of canola in general.
Organic canola oil is valued for its superior health traits and cooking qualities. Canola oil is high in Omega 3’s, low in saturated fat and has a high oleic content which makes it stable at high temperatures and is used for both small scale cooking and industrial frying.. Its omega 3 (Alpha Linolenic acid) qualities also make canola oil popular for use in the production of margarine.

Organic Palm Oleine
Organic palm oleine is used in margarines as a hardening agent eliminating the use of the hyrodenation process of soft oils which results in the production of trans-fatty acids.
